What we are building
before we ship it to you.

Most of what IG1 will operate in three years does not have a datasheet yet. This page is where we publish it anyway — the tracks our engineers are actually working on, how far along each one is, and how to get your hands on it early.

Why We Publish Our R&D

Infrastructure decisions have a five-year horizon. When a client picks an operator, they are betting not only on what that operator runs today, but on where it will be when their current architecture reaches end of life.

Most providers keep that roadmap behind an NDA and a sales cycle. We would rather show it. It lets our clients plan against something real, it keeps us accountable to dates we published, and frankly, the feedback we get from people who read this page has changed our priorities more than once.

Nothing here is marketing vapour. Each track below states honestly where it stands — from early exploration to a private preview you can join this quarter.

What this page commits us to

  • Honest status labels

Exploration means exploration. We do not relabel a prototype as a product.

  • Tracks that get dropped, get said

If we abandon a direction, it comes off this page with a note, not in silence.

  • Access before general availability

Subscribers hear about each preview before it is announced anywhere else.

  • Engineers, not account managers

Design-partner conversations happen with the people writing the code.

Current Tracks

Six directions our teams are actively working on. Each one carries its real stage: Private preview In development Exploration

TRACK 01 Private preview

IG1 Cloud — sovereign public cloud

A European sovereign cloud on hardware we own, in our own French data centers, exposed through the tools your teams already use: open APIs, Terraform, S3-compatible storage, Kubernetes. Zero egress fees, per-second billing, no proprietary lock-in.

TRACK 02 Private preview

Agent-native infrastructure operations

An MCP server exposing cloud operations as tools an AI agent can call — under your identity, your quotas and your audit log, inside our perimeter. The question we are answering: how much of day-two operations can be delegated safely, and where must a human stay in the loop?

TRACK 03 Private preview

Cluster-on-Demand Kubernetes

A tenant factory that turns one API call into a complete Kubernetes environment — hosted control plane, workers in your own project, identity, quotas and cost attribution already wired in. The goal is a platform your internal teams can self-serve without your platform engineers becoming a ticket queue.

TRACK 04 In development

Sovereign AI infrastructure

GPU infrastructure, retrieval-augmented generation and agent platforms operated under European jurisdiction, for organizations that cannot send their data to a third-party model provider. This work runs on its own site, ig1.ai, and feeds directly back into what we build here.

TRACK 05 In development

Real-time FinOps telemetry

Per-tenant, per-project usage rating that feeds a live event stream instead of a monthly invoice. We want the cost of a deployment to be visible at merge time, not six weeks later — and we want your own tooling to be able to subscribe to it.

TRACK 06 Exploration

European sovereignty certification

We already hold HDS for French health data and ISO 27001 for our security management system, and we operate under NIS2 and DORA expectations. This track is the work of mapping our platform against the emerging European sovereignty schemes — and being straight about the gaps we still have to close.

Or Get Involved Properly

Following along is fine. Shaping what we build is better. For each track we take on a small number of design partners — here is what that actually looks like.

01

A real workload, not a slide

You bring one concrete workload with real constraints — a compliance requirement, a cost ceiling, a migration deadline. We size the track against it and tell you honestly whether it fits today.

02

Direct line to the engineers

A shared channel with the team building the track, not a support queue. You see the trade-offs being made, and your objections land while they can still change the design.

03

Terms that reflect the risk

You are carrying some of our uncertainty, so the commercial terms say so — preferential pricing locked for the life of the engagement, and a documented exit if the track does not deliver.

Working on something similar?

If one of these tracks maps onto a problem you are trying to solve — or if you think we are heading in the wrong direction on one of them — we would genuinely like to hear it. The conversation costs you an hour and gets you a straight answer.
